THE BORING LIFE STORY - DVD STYLE!!!The Early YearsBorn well and healthy in Malaysia, the baby named Derrick grew up to be a fine young man. He was a top student in almost all of his classes and both students and teachers alike loved him. He was not very good at sports nor was he very athletic at all because of a foot problem (flat-foot), which he inherited from his father. At the age of 10, he was pushed two grades up, moving to the 6th grade. There, he met a girl whom he thought was the most beautiful girl who he had seen in his life and started working out. Derrick never built much biceps or arm strength but he started playing football and became the youngest person in the school's history to join the football team, at the age of 11. He became the school's defensive midfielder which caused him lots of injuries due to all his bigger opponents. From all his injuries, he built up endurance and became stronger. His football skills improved at a quick pace and even managed to impress the girl of his dreams by winning the school their first ever match, and their first ever tournament, providing strong defenses and scoring opportunities. He started dating the girl but she soon told him that she was leaving the school, leaving the city and leaving the state. Derrick was heart-broken, and when she did, she left him with a kiss and he vowed that he was to never date a girl until he could get back together with her.
High SchoolDerrick entered high school without the support of his brother (because he left school), his ex-girlfriend, nor his parents because he had been sent to a rehab for getting involved in a street fight. He had to manage his own finances, pay for his own school fees and suffered his high school life. He continued playing in the football team but he soon had to drop out because he had failed in his studies, still distracted over the loss of his ex-girlfriend. Soon, he dropped out of school completely because he was failing miserably.
After SchoolDerrick soon moved to Thailand and lived in the slums of Bangkok for a year, from the age of 13 to 14. There, he had made many friends who share the similar interest: playing football. He and his friends formed a football team which outshone most of the Thailand teams and eventually led them to Asian stardom. However, their stardom couldn't last forever. Three of the team members had a fall out with each other and they disbanded, leaving Derrick with his dreams crushed again. He found out local newspaper that somewhere in Japan a fighting tournament was being held and that all people were welcomed, so he decided to join.
Land of the Rising SunDerrick left to Japan after training for several months in Bangkok and decided to pick up his training in some local dojos in Japan. He entered the tournament as the youngest participant, only at the age of 15. He fought with basic street fighting and his ass got whooped good. Eventually, he decided he didn't have enough and experience yet, so he traveled to China and from there. he was illegally smuggled to southern England by boat where he was one of ten survivors who didn't suffocate.
NottinghamWhile in England, he lived in Nottingham for a year. He made a decent amount of money and practiced fighting as well. He made new friends who also played football, and he fit in well. He and his friends formed a team and played in mini-leagues, earning them a nice sum of money. Using this money, he trained hard in the arts of martial arts. When he decided he had enough, his team had reluctantly said goodbye to him and he left to America by plane.
SeattleDerrick lived under the alias Sommerlund when he moved to Seattle at the age of 16. He picked up wrestling in America and worked in the independent circuit for a year. After years of waiting and months of intense training, he finally got a call from his love, the girl back in school, and she told him to fly to Korea where they could meet up.
IncheonSommerlund traveled all the way to Incheon, Korea to meet up with his lost love. Somehow, he managed to find her. They lived together in Incheon for a month before they both moved back to Seattle.
Seattle AgainSommerlund and his once again girlfriend moved to Seattle where Sommerlund could once again continue his training. He worked in the independent circuit again until the age of 18, where he started working for some professional wrestling promotions. His first was Extreme Underground Wrestling, where he was one of the few who was hand-picked by the GM Foremole Din.
Extreme Underground WrestlingSommerlund wrestled as a face here in EUW for many seasons. Sommerlund was longest running wrestler in EUW, working from the beginning till a time where he felt that he could move on to newer, brighter wrestling promotions after he had accomplished all that he could in EUW. He was soon picked up by friend King Neli into his promotion, Extreme Bloody Wrestling.
Extreme Bloody WrestlingSommerlund maintained his relationship with his girlfriend even though his finances were struggling due to no work. King Neli saved his butt and Sommerlund remains incredibly loyal and faithful to King Neli. Unlike in EUW where he was only an upper midcarder, in EBW, he is a top wrestler and is willing to stay with EBW until the promotion closes down or until he achieves all that he can in EBW.... Or until his girlfriend tells him to leave for better pay...
Backyard Wrestling Battlegrounds, Life of the GMAlthough he was liked and enjoyed his time in EBW, he was approached by a masked man who gave him a letter. In that letter, it was revealed that Sommerlund had been chosen to open a backyard wrestling promotion. This man was revealed to be the brother of a friend, who wanted so bad to join a wrestling federation. Soon, Sommerlund decided to take up the offer and quit EBW right after a contract renewal. This new wrestling federation came to be known as Backyard Wrestling Battlegrounds. The shows were held in the backyard of his friend with his brother's permission. However, a couple of days before BWB's first show, Sommerlund's friend, Donnie Darko, was run over by a car and died of internal bleeding and brain damage. Sommerlund
did continue running the promotion though, and every show is dedicated in the memory of his great friend Donnie.
