What's with this chatbox color, YUCK?

With the old chatbox, you could at least read who was in the room, Now that it's this yuck, cream color, most of the people who are in light colored fonts can't even be seen on the boards. If your name is in yellow, then your shit out of luck with a hello.

Now onto the new skin. The old way was much better because it allowed you to see who posted new stuff with a blinking light, this new icon driven one is a waste of time and energy. I think a blinking light gets more attention.
